I had to write about this.
This is not a launch. But after a few one-off international maps (including Cyprus, Yosemite and a historic map of Helsinki), we’ve just printed our first German map from our international data set. Based upon OpenStreetMap and to a style we’d developed specifically for the global maps this process is readily reproducible and will soon be made available, region by region, for people to chose their own personalised maps.
International SplashMaps are coming. They’re coming very soon! This event was timed to happen during the Intergeo exhibition in Germany. If you’re there? Go and ask Arnulf Christl all about it. He’s on the Metaspatial stand.
