SplashMaps impresses the Press!
This week we continued our local SplashMaps media campaign with a great stand at the festival-like SkyRide Southampton event and a feature in regional paper, the Hampshire Chronicle.
It was great to meet so many of our existing customers and friends at SkyRide and make new ones, such as the Sheriff of Southampton herself!
We’re also proud to be in this weeks’ Hampshire Chronicle where they’ve used our latest photos and discussed our key benefits such as Splashmaps are “…aimed at anyone on an outdoor adventure and can be used in all weather conditions”. They expressed that this was a “…world first”.
In this same week a terrific review of our Eastern Peak District maps by the cycling charity , CTC (of which the Queen herself is patron!), was provided in Cycle magazine who said SplashMaps are “good and accurate…and so versatile”. They concluded that “…it has so many uses I’d take one with me as well as a GPS”
We’ve created a full page advert to support our retail and this will first appear in the Forces magazine, RAF Active, next month.
And at the time of writing the latest MBUK magazine is going on sale and features a pull-out trail guide with SplashMaps featuring opposite the Quantock Hills destination.
The campaign continues to spread nationally with our next feature being a review in BBC Country File’s Magazine.
The article will feature SplashMaps amongst the rain-proof clothing reviews in next months’ edition.
And what does this coverage really mean?
We’re building our brand and our presence.
This is working well. On a basic level the success of our campaign is increasingly seen at our outdoor events where people already know our product and literally approach us with enthusiasm and a genuine desire to find out more, be involved and help us as we succeed.
But our campaign also raises awareness that great innovation can come once the authorities release more of their great data!
