It’s a fever pitched week for Winning SplashMaps! Firstly a frenzy of geo-businesses gathered at the Association for Geographic Information GeoComm conference in Warwick just to get their hands on our goods. Thanks Chris Ewing for insisting on having 3 SplashMaps as the main prizes (thanks Chris for the pictures too!).
Then an auditorium of OpenStreetMap geeks beat their way to Germany for the Launch of our International personalised map service at the #WhereBerlin conference. Hectoring for a touch of the fabric our first German maps were awarded to kings of OpenStreetMap Lorenz Matzat, Daniel Rieber and Peter Karich.
But winning SplashMaps has been popular all month as Scout camps up and down the country tear up their old paper maps and vie for the prestigious Scouting Magazine Cartography award… the prize for which… you guessed … a dozen personalised site-centred maps of your Scout Hut!
And in the run-up to Christmas more will be given away too! Look out for the amazing MBR Magazine on-line competition page. And, of course WE are giving away maps this month too! Just like us and follow us (surely that’s natural by now?)
Phew… now aren’t I supposed to sell these things too?
